ECHOES OF LIBERTY

In honor of America's 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial), we invited artists to bridge the past and the present. How can historical objects and contemporary art create meaningful dialogue about liberty, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness?
Based on 9 artifacts from the Wayland Museum Historical Society collection, each artist created an artwork inspired by these pieces and the theme.
This exhibit was a juried exhibit.
Juror: Christie Jackson
Artworks of the winners and finalists are currently displayed at the Wayland Museum and Historical Society during the month of June & July.
