Wonders of Light

Wonders of Light is an infrared image with color that has seeped into the infrared part of the light spectrum. The combination of infrared and some visual color produces colors that are unfamiliar to our eyes. Thus it is both familiar and unfamiliar, moving our thoughts inward as we contemplate the beauty of light. The image is printed on thick textured paper with a thin metal frame.

There is something intuitive that makes me raise my camera and trip the shutter. I do not pre-visualize an image. Instead, I pull up the images onto my computer screen and allow them to tell me what it is about, what effects I should try, and allows the meaning to unfold. The hidden meanings go beyond the visual world and express the relationships encountered from our surroundings. The feelings one gets when contemplating an image are enhanced by the thoughts it exposes.
