Description:

Develop or refine your skills in watercolor painting and oil pastel with acclaimed instructor Rahul Ray in this engaging eight-week studio course. Watercolor is a beautiful yet challenging medium, while oil pastels offer a vibrant and versatile approach to painting with rich, expressive color.

The class focuses on building strong artistic foundations through observation, perspective, scale, composition, and painting techniques. Sketching will be an integral part of each session, and students will explore a variety of subjects, including still life, florals, landscapes, and portraiture.

Whether you are just beginning or looking to strengthen your existing skills, Rahul's thoughtful instruction and personalized guidance help students gain confidence and make meaningful progress in a supportive studio environment.

Rahul Ray received his training in drawing and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata, India. He regularly teaches at Arts Wayland and the Wayland Council on Aging and also offers private instruction. His work has been exhibited at Arts Wayland, Till Wave Gallery in Watertown, Natick Center for the Arts (TCAN), the Longfellow Club, the Calcutta Club USA, the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata, and public libraries throughout Natick, Sudbury, Wayland, and Wellesley.
