This work is a unique giclee reproduction of an original eco print on fine art photographic paper. Eco-printing is a process in which natural dyes from plants and metal oxides are used to imprint the shapes and textures of botanical materials (flowers, stems, and leaves) onto paper or fabric. Through this process, nature is transformed into a unique piece of art that is personal, precious, and permanent. I hope that this artwork conveys a deep appreciation of the beauty of nature and the importance of our relationship to the natural world around us.

About Judith Stein
I am a mixed media artist with a home studio in Needham, MA. For years, I have loved painting abstract landscapes and pure abstracts. My favorite medium has been oil paint mixed with cold wax medium. The cold wax enhances the luminosity and transparency of oil paints and allows the paint to dry faster. During the past two years, I have broadened my art practice to incorporate collage work and printing techniques. More recently, I have been exploring eco printing techniques using natural dyes to imprint the shapes, patterns, and colors of leaves and flowers onto paper. Through this process, nature is transformed into a unique piece of art that is personal, precious, and permanent.
