Rooted

I feel a strong connection to the ground. The roots of trees have so much activity below our feet, and we can't see any of it. We can also be rooted in our ideas, and other kinds of non-organic entities.

I have been painting for 40 years, and mostly in the abstract style. I generally like to use bold colors, and have been trying new materials and a variety of sizes of surfaces on which to apply the paint. I am always inspired by Nature, as well as sounds, music, and emotions.Creative expression can often be better expressed with paint than with words.
