I like how some colors look against a dark background, so I used black gesso on this canvas. The colors were chosen because they look good against black. This composition came together very easily.

I'm an abstract painter, and have been using acrylic paints for many years. I also use other materials (mixed media) to my work when necessary. I have been painting since the late 1980's, but took art classes before then, and am still enrolled in an online class.
