About Judith Stein
When you look at a tree or a plant, you might admire its beauty or its strength, but like most of us, you might see it as a rather passive living being. Nothing is further from the truth!! . Plants and trees are incredibly complex and interactive with their environment. They are an important source of food, oxygen, and shelter for animals and insects and communicate with each other through their root structures. As an artist, I am inspired by the beauty, mystery, and complexity of the botanical world and enjoy highlighting these elements in my work. Whether I am creating paintings, collages, or prints, I am most intrigued by the intricate patterns, forms, and textures in nature, especially those found in flowers, leaves, and trees.
