Starlight Mosaic Mandala Mirror

This mosaic Mirror is 20 inches in diameter and incudes a mirror that is 12 inches in diameter. I used a variety of materials including: Stained glass, pearls, garnet, turquoise, rhinestones, fused glass, ceramic tile, beads, silver metal shapes, van gogh glass, glass leaves.

About Amy Marks
I have been creating mosaics for over15 years and studied with world-famous mosaicists. I use a rich color palette and a variety of materials —polymer clay and glass tiles, stained glass, pottery, millefiori, beads, and jewelry—to create functional and decorative mixed media mosaics that are colorful and highly tactile. I am experimenting with combining glass and layered beads over paint, collage and stencils pushing the envelope on what is a mosaic. My mosaics have been juried into exhibitions at Gallery Twist, Arts Wayland, Belmont Art Gallery, Galatea Gallery, Narrows Center for the Arts, CMA2, The Attleboro Museum of Art, the Lasell University Gallery, The Somerville Museum, the Danforth Museum of Art, and The Cape Cod Cultural Center. I teach mosaic workshops in my home studio and at regional art centers including the Fuller Craft Museum and Snow Farm. I served as the founding President of the New England Mosaic Society (NEMS).
