CALL FOR ART - ECHOES OF LIBERTY
Arts Wayland and the Wayland Museum & Historical Society are teaming up for a Spring 2026 call and response exhibition.

CALL FOR ART
Artists, browse the 10 artifacts from the Museum collection online or visit the Historical Museum to see them in person. Then create an artwork inspired by these pieces and the theme.
SUBMISSIONS & EXHIBITS
- The artwork submitted will be juried by a panel of artists & historians.
- This exhibit is open to ALL artists. Free for Arts Wayland & Historical Society members. Registration fee of $25 required for non-members.
- 2D and 3D artworks accepted.
- Digital Work accepted: Artist can provide tablet for display if possible.
- Artists can submit up to 5 artworks related to the artifacts provided by the Wayland Museum.
- Artwork(s) selected must be dropped at the Arts Wayland Gallery. No shipping allowed.
- All selected artworks will be first displayed and for sale at the Arts Wayland Gallery during the month of May, 35 Andrew Avenue, Wayland MA and on-line.
- Some artifacts from the museum will be displayed along with the selected artworks.
- A jurist will select 10 artworks that best represent the artifacts or the theme.
- These will be displayed and for sale at the Wayland Museum June through July, 12 Cochituate Rd, Wayland, MA 01778
- SOLD artworks must remain available for display the remaining of the exhibits.
ARTS WAYLAND GALLERY EXHIBIT (Phase 1)
Jury selected artworks will be displayed and for sale at the Arts Wayland Gallery in May
- Exhibit Dates: May 1st - May 31st at the Arts Wayland Gallery
- Submission deadline: Sunday, April 5th (11:59 PM)
- Notification of acceptance: Sunday, April 12 (after 6:00 PM)
- Drop-Off: Saturday, April 25th & Sunday, April 26th at the Arts Wayland Gallery
- Reception and Announcement of the 10 pieces selected for the Wayland Museum exhibit: Saturday, May 9th at 3:00 pm at the gallery
- Pick-up: Saturday, May 31st at the Arts Wayland Gallery. (Pick-up is for artworks not selected for display at the Wayland Museum)
WAYLAND MUSEUM EXHIBIT (Phase 2)
10 selected artworks will be displayed and for sale at the Wayland Museum in July
- June 1st: 10 selected artworks move from Arts Wayland Gallery to Wayland Museum
- Exhibit Dates: June 1st - July 31st at the Wayland Museum and Historical Society
- Reception: June 21, 12-4pm at the Wayland Museum
- Pick-up: Date July 31st at the Wayland Museum
Non-members
Non-members must pay a registration fee of $25 per person.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION
Only SUBMIT artwork if you are an Arts Wayland or Historical Society Member OR you have PAID you REGISTRATION FEE.
A Google account is required to submit your artwork. If you do not have a Google account, please create one here . You don't need a Gmail account to create a Google Account.
Even if you do not submit the total number of entries allowed (up to 5), you must move forward through all the other sections of the submission form, leaving them blank, until you arrive at the last page. There you will be prompted to click the "Submit" button to actually submit your entries.
When you have succeeded in submitting your entries, you will receive a confirmation email allowing you to make changes (except for your images) until the submission period closes. If you do not receive a confirmation email, this means your submission was not completed. Please go back into your form and try again.
