Artist bio: My name is Elleanna Berthel, and I'm a Dallas raised artist who enjoys philosophy, reading, and writing. Though I'm not pursuing my degree in visual arts, the act of creating has always been a sacred part of my life and has enabled me to work through my darkest moments. My work mostly engages with how religion, purity culture, and politics have shaped both my personal life and the world at large.

Arwork brief description: Veni, Vidi, Vici is my interpretation of how Evangelical Christianity operates in America. In my experience, the scales of justice, mercy, and morality are set up to benefit very few people within this denomination. Instead of spreading a message focused on sacrifical love, many become focused forcing others to adhere to their beliefs. Unfortunately, this is a sentiment which is growing within American politics today as we watch religion influence the rights which are being stripped away from minorites.
