Favorite Things Still LIfe (sample)

A still life (i.e., painting of objects) can also be personalized. This sample is part of a series of paintings that depict items of meaning in someone's life. This commissioned piece was done for a couple that lived in China for a number of years. He plays the piano and she taught English. They met at Harvard and enjoyed playing cards. She has personal ties to Hawaii and he loves to play golf. All these diverse elements coalesce into a painting that is ready to frame.
