About Stéphanie Elkort
People often walk up to my photographs to get a closer look because they wonder if they are actually a painting. My style of photography attempts just that —to present my subject, usually a flower, as if it posed for its portrait. Working out of my studio at home in Sudbury, time melts away, and I develop a closeness with my flowers that is very personal. In the end, my images are both dreamy and hyper-real, communicating two very different facets of a flower’s character, and hopefully eliciting surprise and wonder from those who enjoy them!
