Sisterly Love

This is an original collage created with gelli-printed papers, and painted papers, lace, an art card, markers, and torn letters. The image of the ancient Greek women sculptures combined with the lace and torn letters express both the strength and endurance of sisterly love as well as its fragility.

I am a mixed media artist with a home studio in Needham, MA. While I love painting with oils and cold wax medium, recently, I have become intrigued with collage and the innumerable ways to express oneself using both hand-painted and manufactured papers, photographs, digital images, magazines, fabric and text. Creating engaging compositions and balancing shapes, colors, and textures is an immensely joyful and rewarding process!
