About Rena Shear
I’m an abstract painter, and I use acrylic paint and mixed media. My work is organic in nature. I had been studying for over 20 years with Elizabeth Dacosta Ahern until she passed last year. I was fortunate to participate in an exhibition this past November- December at Galerie D’Orsay in Boston, where she often showed her work. It was a tribute to her and her teacher, Helen Frankenthaler. It was called “Jump In!” and it was a salute to the thread between students and their teacher.
