Please join us for a springtime watercolor class. Develop or refine your drawing and painting skills in this studio and outdoor (plein air) watercolor classes. This class will be good for experienced students as well as beginners. You will learn perspectives of drawing an object three-dimensionally and coloring it with watercolor. Each person will be encouraged to develop their skill and style versus copying it from the instructor. The proposed classes will include at least two outdoor/Plein air painting sessions depending on the weather.

BIO: Dr. Rahul Ray, the instructor, is a Wayland resident and a retired professor of medicine at Boston University. He received his training in drawing and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata, India. He works with watercolor, pencil/charcoal, acrylic, and oil, as well as mixed media.
Rahul has been teaching watercolor painting at the Wayland Council on Aging for the past two years. He is also active in exhibiting his painting at various galleries in the New England area, including The Center for the Arts at Natick, Natick, MA where an art show, entitled ‘Father and Son Duo’ by Rahul and his son was recently hosted.
MATERIALS:
Materials needed will include a NICO watercolor box (Amazon) and brush set and a watercolor pad, a roll of blue tape, and a large cardboard or foam-core board. A folding chair and a water bottle will be required for Plein air sessions.
