Bellforge Benefit Concert with Peter Mayer

 With enormous thanks for the generosity of the Margaret Stewart Lindsay Foundation, Arts Wayland is excited to announce that we are part of a fundraiser and non-profit showcase on Monday, July 29th from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Bellforge Art Center in Medfield featuring  Peter and Jim Mayer, longtime guitarist and bassist for Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band.

 “Songs and Stories from the 12-Volt Man” will highlight the music and adventures from their 35-year partnership with Jimmy Buffett, interspersed with music from their own successful solo careers. 

There will be an area inside the event for concertgoers to meet the non-profits and learn about the organizations. The venue will be open from 5 to 8pm, and the performers will join the attendees for a meet-and-greet following the show. The showcase opens at 5 pm, and the concert will begin at 6:30.


Tickets are $30 and ALL proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Arts Wayland. Just be sure to choose Arts Wayland in the dropdown menu listing all of the participating non-profits when you buy your tickets

Peter Mayer, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, has been with Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band for over three decades. Mayer also follows his own musical path with both national and international tours and has released 20 live and studio albums to date. Over his years in music he has been privileged to share the stage with many bright lights in the music industry including James Taylor, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Don Henley, Dave Matthews, and many others.

Jim Mayer is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur and children's advocate. He is best known as a longtime bassist for Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, having played, toured and recorded with Buffett since 1989. Mayer is also a children's musician and performer. He has had two Number 1 hits on Sirius/XM Kids radio, is a regular guest on national children's radio shows, and has performed live shows and presented workshops for children and educators in the U.S. and Europe.

Brendan Mayer, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, has been building a following, laying his tracks in the music world. He released his first album, the “Getaway Car” EP, on Jimmy Buffett’s Mailboat Records, after touring a year with Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band in 2014. He has spent the last months working on his latest release, “Best at the Show,” which is due out this year. He performs regularly on his solo tours.

Together, they play as a trio performing a vast array of music from each artist's catalog.
