At the Edge of the Falls

This collage was created from gelli- printed papers and cut out paper shapes glued on Bristol paper, matted and framed. The texture and design of the printed paper reminded me of waterfalls and the delightful sounds of rapidly falling water.

I am a mixed media artist with a home studio in Needham, MA. While I love painting with oils and cold wax medium, recently, I have become intrigued with collage and the innumerable ways to express oneself using both hand-painted and manufactured papers, photographs, digital images, magazines, fabric and text. Creating engaging compositions and balancing shapes, colors, and textures is an immensely joyful and rewarding process!
